AquaShield Clear- Car Windscreen and Window Protection
AquaShield Clear is specially formulated and tested for automotive glass. The nano coating shows a highly durable, water and dirt repellent effect on automotive glass surfaces and is formulated with an inorganic sol-gel technology. This nanotechnology is based on coated solid silica which is an inorganic material,and therefore UV resistant.
An independent, accredited USA laboratory tested AquaShield Clear with an astounding 500,000 windscreen wiper cycles. This testing procedure was used to simulate durability of wiper blades on a windshield. Accordingly, what was impressive even after the testing process, the coating still indicated a good water repellent effect, and did not require a re-application.
While the coating is effective for up to 5 years on the side windows of a car, this test confirmed that quite an extensive service life can be achieved on windscreens also. Unlike many other glass coatings Vision protect does not contain any Siloxane, Silicone, Wax or Teflon.
The product is a special formulated material that self-assembles into the glass mono layer surface structure which makes AquaShield Clear the hardest product available for windscreens and enables AquaShield Clear to offer scratch resistance well beyond other products.
The high hardness and the UV resistance enables AquaShield Clear to be used under the harshest conditions. It cannot be removed by automated car washes or high water pressure and ice removal tools . It also reduces the adhesion of ice and snow significantly.
